Hi Jim - one week on and just wanted to say a huge thank you from me and from Gill for our great day on Windermere on Friday 3rd. We learnt so much from you and I particularly feel so much more confident. The pace of the day was just right and we loved the kelly kettle and tea! Of course you also organised that perfect weather! We had a good day on Coniston the day after and were happy that we could transfer the skills you had taught us to paddling on our own in quite a breeze - and not get wet! very best wishes, Liz.

Activity: Family paddle, Kirkby Lonsdale - submitted by Fran Duxbury on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 19:13:05
Had a fun evening paddling and playing games on the water at Kirkby Lonsdale. A great way for all the family of mixed ages and abilities to spend time together, learn a new skill.....or just try and wet mum through !! Never thought I would get in a canoe, but this is my fifth outing, it's fabulous. I would recommend Jim and Paul to anyone considering going canoeing because of their experience, knowledge, emphasis on safety, but most importantly the 'fun factor'

Sweden May 2008 Family Canoe Expedition
This was the first time Jim and Paul had arranged a family trip (ourselves and two boys aged 6 and 11). We are amazed at the degree of thought and preparation they put in to ensuring we had a happy, safe, exciting adventure together taylored for our needs.
We had a stunning five days. It's an incredible environment in which to leave your everyday world and enter "Jinaka time".
Highlights include seeing the Osprey, learning to light fires without matches, exploring where the beavers had been at work and sitting back to watch an incredible sunset at 11pm with a glass of malt :)
Jim and Paul are excellent hosts and we were more than happy to trust them with our boys. I have no hesitation in recommending Jinaka to anyone looking to do something different.

Activity: Sweden June 2007 - 5 night Lakes Tour - submitted by Rosie and Kevin Doran on Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Fantastic holiday, the trip was very well organised by the Jinaka Canoe guides Jim and Paul, they ensured that everyone's requirements were accomodated, whether it was nature studies, photography or basic canoeing techiques. Every evening they cooked an excellent evening meal ensuring that everyone dietry requirements where taken into account even the weather was brillant. We can thoroughly recommend it, we came home and bought our own canoe.
